Behind the song
“Bad to the Bone” is me taking a more exaggerated version of myself and turning it all the way up. It’s the villain side of the character—aggressive, confident, reckless, surrounded by women and completely unapologetic.
Some of it comes from real confidence and experiences, but the point was to make everything bigger than life. The threats, attitude and arrogance are intentionally over the top.
Even the title plays into that idea: I’m not just acting bad—I’m bad to the bone.
